I've always known that I see the world differently from others. An average day on a beach can transform into a picture of absolute tranquility or an ode to loneliness in my eyes. For most people, a hike is a great way to get outdoors. For me, it's a chance to discover a sea of purple wildflowers or to experience the grandeur of life above the clouds. While some artists use a paintbrush or a pencil to convey the world they see to those around them, I found my mode of expression in digital photography nine years ago. Since then, something that began as a hobby has blossomed into my life's calling. I find joy in the whole process of photography--from the first glimpse of a subject to printing an image--but my core message to the viewer is always an emotional one. My work is not just about observation; it's about connection to the world I see and to the minds and hearts of those who are moved by my photographs.
