Jeffrey Klug’s interest in photography began in high school as a photographer for the school newspaper and yearbook. Jeffrey along with his classmate Allen Johnson created the historic photo archive for the Menomonee Falls Historical Society located at the Menomonee Falls Public Library. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at the Milwaukee Area Technical College where he earned Associate degrees in Photography and Photo Electronics Technology. In 1981 Jeffrey opened his camera store, “Klug’s Photo Worldâ€, which included a photo lab and studio for portraits and commercial photography. In 1992 he relocated his studio and photo lab to Hubertus, specializing in architectural photography, commercial photography, portraits, fine art photography, and aerial photography. He continues to maintain his own photo lab for printing to maintain tight control of his work. In 2001 he was the official photographer for the inauguration of Governor Scott McCallum and Lt. Governor Margaret Farrow. In 1993 he became the manager of the Apple Barn/Killdeer Acres taking over for his father, the late Richard P. Klug. Later he converted the Apple Barn to an art gallery where he sells his fine arts photographs. In 2008 he brought back the name “Klug’s Photo World†and added a frame shop. Jeffrey as a Certified Photographic Counselor teaches classes in photography, Adobe Photoshop, and Lightroom at the UW-Waukesha and Washington County, South Western Michigan Camera Clubs Council (SWMCCC), and at Wisconsin Area Camera Clubs Organization (WACCO). He was president, program chair, competition chair, and treasurer of the Wisconsin Area Camera Clubs Organization; treasurer and program director for the Wisconsin Imaging and Photographic Association (WIPA); program co-chair and past president of the Menomonee Falls Camera Club.
